Faculty: Dance Instructors

Miss Susan has been instructing and choreographing dance in many genres, including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Broadway/Musical Theater & Lyrical for more than 30 years. She has studied in several cities across the USA and has taken master classes, conventions, and workshops from many dance experts in their field such as Al Gilbert, Mia Michaels, Frank Hatchett, Gus Giordano, and Joe Tremaine.
Miss Susan has choreographed several musicals in Richmond Hill and in the West Michigan region, as well as award winning choreography for competition teams in MI and GA, not to mention hundreds of recital dances over the years!
Miss Susan is super passionate about dance and watching the growth in her students, both personally and with their dancing, makes her heart smile!
Her favorite things to do besides dancing are watching the NBA and HGTV, traveling, reading (Miss Susan was the former Community Relations Manager for Barnes & Noble in Holland, MI, before moving to Savannah), and caring for animals (neighborhood cat lady!). Opening OFF BROADWAY has been a dream come true. Her dance studio and her dance family makes her life complete!

Mikayla Tillman is a Georgia Southern Alumni with her degree in Rehabilitation Science for Physical Therapy. She has been trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tap, character, musical theatre, and jazz. She has attended dance workshops with DMI and attended special dance classes taught by dancers featured on So You Think You Can Dance including Kathryn McCormick from Step Up Revolution. Mikayla has competed in dance competitions such as DMI, Celebrity, Revolution, Encore, Inspire, Adrenaline, Fusion, DTI, Access Broadway, Headliners, Showstoppers, IDC, Platinum and Nexstar. She has been in several productions of the Nutcracker and Dracula with the Columbia City Ballet and has danced in special performances throughout the Savannah area. Mikayla has been a part of the Off Broadway family for several years
and can’t wait to be a part of many more!

Jane grew up in Savannah and began taking dance classes at the age of 2. She continued to dance regularly until the age of 26. She studied tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, baton, hula, and tumbling. Her favorite genres of dance are tap and ballet. After her first child was born, Jane began teaching with focus primarily on tap, ballet, jazz, and tumbling. She was a majorette in middle school and high school and performed at many dance competitions and community events. Jane is married to Kenny Yaklin and has two sons- Hunter and Logan. She has one daughter, Lacey, with whom she has been blessed to share the world of dance. When she is not dancing, Jane is an Occupational Therapist in private practice at Coastal Pediatric Therapies and the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism. She is most excited to be a part of the wonderful team at Off Broadway!
